Healthy dessert ideas and recipes always popular and In!
We offer lots of delicious suggestions for healthy alternatives, including for low-salt and low-sugar desserts. Important as we age when nutrition can become more complicated.
These healthy dessert recipes were selected especially for seniors. Easy and popular to do as senior activities too. And they can be modified to suit you.
Natural ingredients – We use mostly honey (raw, natural honey is ideal) or pure maple syrup as sweeteners. You can also substitute in a granular sweetener or even natural sugar (like stevia, which comes from a plant) if you’d prefer.
We use a minimal amount of salt too. But it can be cut down. Although some have whole wheat pastry flour, you certainly can use whatever you have. Feel free to add other nuts, dried fruits, or spices as you’d like. Healthy dessert recipes can be flexible. Be sure to also see our page on Easy Healthy Recipes – for all occasions.
