Senior Center Bingo

I discovered the local senior center weekly bingo session. I started taking my 93 year old mother there about 3 months ago and she really enjoys it. She has severe macular degeneration so was unable to see the cards supplied. An easy fix: I googled large print bingo cards and found many sites that let you print them off for free. The center had no problem with us bringing in our own cards.

My mother really looks forward to this and plans what she is going to wear ahead of time. She has been so welcomed there that a few weeks ago a lady had a birthday present for her when we arrived. Surprisingly, a very fun gentlemen has been telling her he wants to take her dancing. (of course she uses a walker and he uses portable oxygen, so that could be problematic). My point is, the socialization is wonderful. It's a little like the Cheers Bar, where everybody knows your name.
