Iced Tea Recipes

by Marsha
(MN)

Here is a really nice alternative to iced tea recipes -- Iced Pineapple Green Tea. I also use mint tea, with this surprise splash of pineapple. Makes a great Refresher. But you could use traditional tea also, if you don't care for either of these.

What You Will Need
3 bags of mint herbal tea
3 bags of green tea (or traditional black tea)
Water
1/2 cup pineapple juice
Juice of 1/2 of a lemon, (squeezed)
Cut the other half of the lemon into slices
Optional: sprigs of mint, raspberries, strawberries, pineapple chunks

Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the teas bags into a pitcher. Let them steep at least 10 minutes until it's dark and strong. Squeeze out the tea bags into the pitcher. Add in the pineapple juice and lemon juice. Add in any fruit that you will be using. Then fill the pitcher with cold water and ice cubes. (Or you can make ice cubes out of pineapple juice). Garnish with a slice of lemon and sprig of mint when serving.

This is really delicious, and you can adjust the amounts of pineapple and lemon juice to taste as well.
