All Natural Easy Brownie Recipe

This all natural easy brownie recipe…

…is also nutritious for you! (And they make great gourmet chocolate gifts!) As you may know, dark chocolate is high in anti-oxidants, so why not take advantage and use chocolate in a healthy dessert? Learn to bake our special brownie recipe here.

This is an all-natural chocolate recipe. Besides the antioxidants in chocolate, this easy brownie recipe is sweetened with honey too - and raw honey, especially, is loaded with minerals and very good for you. We also use oil instead of butter. You can even get natural chocolate chips. The nuts add some protein and vitamins as well. Using whole wheat pastry flour will complete the health part of this recipe. -- P.S.: You can also try this recipe with carob rather than chocolate. See the link at the end of the recipe.

But you can, of course, use whatever ingredients you have on hand to substitute in this recipe.

All-Natural Chocolate Brownies

Cream together:
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs

Add in order:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup coco powder
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 Tablespoon baking powderI cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix together. Put in a greased and floured square baking pan. You can sprinkle a few chocolate chips over the top of the batter - they will melt in. Bake at 350 F degrees, for 25 minutes. Frosting not even needed (unless you really want it)!

Also try using carob instead! Carob is a healthy alternative to chocolate and is great for really healthy dessert recipes. Carob is loaded with vitamins and minerals. Traditional to the Middle East, it was referred to as “locust” or the locust bean, in ancient and biblical times. You can get it in many forms now in health food stores or natural food aisles – carob chips, powder, syrup, etc.
